Italian manager Simone Inzaghi praised his players' performance in the match against Al-Ittihad, confirming that his team deserved the victory. He stated, "We played a great match and delivered an outstanding performance; we deserved the win, and I thank the players for their efforts."

Regarding his celebration following Crysencio Summerville's goal, Inzaghi explained that the reaction was due to the significance of the moment; the player had previously had four scoring attempts; including one that hit the post, before finally succeeding in scoring the third goal.

Inzaghi also praised Ollie Watkins' performance, saying, "He delivered an exceptional level of play and is improving day by day. He has gradually built up his involvement in our recent matches and continues to work well with the squad, despite not having joined us at the start of the pre-season training camp."

These remarks were made during the press conference held following the match between Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad on Saturday evening at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.
