Gabriel Martinelli joins Al-Hilal for four years

The board of directors of Al-Hilal Club, headed by His Highness Prince Nawaf bin Saad, signed Brazilian player Gabriel Martinelli from Arsenal FC, to represent Al-Hilal first football team for four years. The signing ceremony took place today Thursday evening at Almajdiah Sport Hub.

The board of directors of Al-Hilal Club Company expressed its appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Alwaleed bin Talal for funding the transfer of Gabriel Martinelli to Al-Hilal. The club extended its sincere thanks and gratitude to His Highness for his permanent support of the club, his ongoing contributions to its progress, his efforts to enhance its competitiveness, and his dedication to fulfilling the aspirations of its fans.

Martinelli, 25, began his senior career with Brazilian club Ituano before joining Arsenal in 2019. He represented the English club in various domestic and continental competitions, scoring 62 goals and providing numerous assists.

Martinelli won several domestic titles with Arsenal, including the Premier League, the FA Cup, and the Community Shield. He also participated in the UEFA Champions League.

Internationally, Martinelli has represented Brazil in several tournaments, including the 2022 and 2026 FIFA World Cups. He also represented the Brazilian U23 national team, contributing to their gold medal win at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Martinelli is expected to join Al-Hilal first team training session this evening, in preparation for facing Al-Shabab, tomorrow Friday, within Roshn Saudi League.
