Al-Hilal inaugurates Almajdiah Sport Hub to become a new headquarters for the first team

Al-Hilal Club Company inaugurated, today Friday, Almajdiah Sport Hub, the new headquarters for Al-Hilal first football team, at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.

The ceremony was attended by His Highness Prince Nawaf bin Saad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Hilal Club Company; Dr. Najla Al-Tuwaijri, President of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University; Mr. Abdulsalam Al-Majed, Managing Director and Acting CEO of Almajdiah; and Mr. Esteve Calzada, CEO of Al-Hilal, in addition to a number of representatives from participating organizations.

The opening of Almajdiah Sport Hub is an extension of Al-Hilal club's strategy to develop its sports infrastructure and provide a comprehensive professional environment that enhances player performance and keeps pace with global best practices in athlete preparation and recovery. The center spans over 56,000 square meters and includes two pitches, a comprehensive sports performance center, specialized recovery facilities, a medical clinic, meeting and lecture halls, and a number of support facilities designed to provide a professional working environment that supports the technical, physical, and medical aspects of the first team. It also includes a hotel camp, administrative offices, and a media center.

The design of Almajdiah Sport Hub followed a baseline study conducted by the club, which included several of the most prominent training centers of international football clubs. The study also assessed the needs of the technical, medical, administrative, media, and logistical staff, aiming to build a facility that meets the needs of players, technical, administrative, and medical personnel, and enhances readiness at all stages of preparation, performance, and recovery.

The center includes an advanced system of sports performance and recovery solutions, that provided by Al-Hayat Investment Company represented by Sporta brand of fitness solutions, incorporating over 20 leading international sports and technology brands, that designed to align with Al-Hilal's identity in accordance with the highest standards that applied by Sporta in sports projects, which include several technologies being used for the first time in Saudi football clubs, and the most prominent are a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, an anti-gravity treadmill, a traditional sauna infused with Himalayan salt, and red light therapy. These technologies enhance player readiness to the highest international standards.

One of the key facilities Al-Hilal has provided in Almajdiah Sport Hub is the Hypoxic training hall. This hall simulates varying altitudes and climatic conditions by controlling oxygen levels, temperature, and humidity which enables the implementation of diverse training programs that mimic different environments and climates, contributing to improved respiratory and circulatory efficiency, enhanced endurance, accelerated physiological adaptation, and support for player preparation and recovery programs based on the latest scientific practices.

Almajdiah Sport Hub will host the first team's training session this Friday evening, following a three-day break for the players after their return from their training camp in Austria. The team is preparing for the start of the new 2026/27 season, which Al-Hilal will kick off by hosting Al-Faisaly next Friday at the Kingdom Arena.

His Highness Prince Nawaf bin Saad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Hilal, stated that the opening of Almajdiah Sport Hub embodies the club's commitment to investing in the development of its infrastructure to meet the highest international standards. He explained that the center provides a comprehensive professional environment that supports players, technical and medical staff, and contributes to enhancing the daily operations of the first football team. He added that the center's strategic location, its proximity to the residences of most players, King Khalid International Airport, and Kingdom Arena, contributes to improved performance and strengthens the first team's readiness throughout the season. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the club's officials and all parties who contributed to the completion of this project, which reflects Al-Hilal's leading position.

For his part, Mr. Abdulsalam Al-Majed, Managing Director and Acting CEO of Almajdiah, expressed his pride in the partnership with Al-Hilal Club, emphasizing that it represents a significant milestone aligned with their vision of building high-quality partnerships that contribute to enhancing quality of life and improving human health. He said that associating Almajdiah’s name with this prestigious sporting institution is a source of pride; due to Al-Hilal's leading sporting position and its distinguished representation of the Kingdom in various international arenas. He expressed his hope that this partnership will add value for both parties and contribute to continued success.

For his part, Eng. Adel Al-Kadi, CEO of Al-Hayat Investment Company confirmed that their participation in the implementation of Almajdiah Sport Hub comes from their mission to develop integrated sports systems according to the highest international standards. He added that Sporta contributed to providing an advanced system that offers a professional environment supporting athletic performance and recovery processes in accordance with Al-Hilal's requirements. He expressed his confidence that the center will contribute to providing a comprehensive training and recovery environment that supports Al-Hilal's continued competitiveness at the highest levels.

Al-Hilal had already signed an agreement in mid-2025 with Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University to host Al-Hilal training center. This agreement aimed to improve the performance of the first football team, expand infrastructure, and enhance the training environment. Subsequently, in August of the same year, an agreement was signed with Almajdiah, making it the official sponsor of Al-Hilal's training facilities for three seasons. Under this agreement, Al-Majdiyah acquired the naming rights for the training center as Almajdiah Sport Hub in addition to several commercial rights both inside and outside the stadium.
