Al-Hilal’s first football team defeated Austrian side Sturm Graz 2-1 in the friendly match held this Sunday evening at Sportplatz Friedberg in Austria, as part of preparations for the upcoming football season.
Karim Benzema opened the scoring in the 4th minute, before Malcom doubled the lead in the 66th minute.
Head coach Simone Inzaghi started the match with a lineup featuring: Mohammed Al-Yami, Rayan Al-Ghamdi, Saad Al-Mutairi, Mishal Al-Dawoud, Malcom Filipe, Murad Al-Hawsawi, Sergej Milinković-Savić, Saimon Nadelia, Sabri Dahal, and Karim Benzema.
The following players featured in the second half: Abdulaziz Jarmoush, Rayan Al-Dawsari, Saud Harun, Mohammed Meite, Abdullah Al-Anzi, Suhaib Al-Zaid, Abdullah Al-Zaid, Saleh Barnawi, Thari Saeed, Turki Al-Ghumail, and Ibrahim Al-Hamlan, as part of the club’s approach to giving as many players as possible the chance to play and assess their technical and physical readiness.
