The match was a rollercoaster from the first whistle, with Manchester City taking the lead in the 9th minute after a controversial decision not to award handball.

The Leaders came out for the second half full of confidence and quickly equalised through Marcos Leonardo, before Malcom sped away from the City defence to make it 2-1 to Al-Hilal after 52 minutes.

But just three minutes later, Pep Guardiola's side equalised through Erling Haaland and the match remained 3-3 until the 90 minutes were up.

Al-Hilal took the lead again through Kalidou Koulibaly, but this was cancelled out on the stroke of half time of extra time by Phil Foden.

Marcos Leonardo then scored the winner in the 112th minute, marking a historical victory for Al-Hilal, and for Saudi Arabian football.

Simone Inzaghi's starting line-up: Yassine Bounou, João Cancelo, Kalidou Koulibaly, Renan Lodi, Mutab Al Harbi, Ruben Neves, Mohammed Kanno, Nasser Al-Dawsari, Malcom, Sergej Savic, Marcos Leonardo.

The Asian giants will now face Brazilian side Fluminense in the quarterfinals of the tournament. The match will be held at the same stadium, Camping World, in Orlando, at 3:00 PM local time on Friday, July 4. The team will continue its preparations in the same city.
