Match Report: Al-Hilal 1-1 Real Madrid

We opened our FIFA Club World Cup campaign with a hard-fought draw against Real Madrid in Miami.

After a strong start for Al Hilal, Real Madrid scored the opening goal after half an hour against the run of play; but Ruben Neves equalized from the penalty spot in the 41st minute. In the second half, Yassine Bounou saved a penalty kick in stoppage time.

Head coach Simone Inzaghi named the following lineup for the match: Yassine Bounou, João Cancelo, Kalidou Koulibaly, Hassan Tambakti, Renan Lodi, Ruben Neves, Nasser Al-Dawsari, Salem Al-Dawsari, Malcom Felipe, Sergej Savic, and Marcos Leonardo.

Al-Hilal will next face Salzburg in the second round of the tournament, with the match scheduled to take place at 6:00 PM (US time) on Sunday, June 22nd.
