Italian head coach Simone Inzaghi praised the team's performance against Al-Taawoun, highlighting their impressive showing during the match. He stated, "We played an excellent game, and I congratulate the players on their performance; and an Asian fixture awaits us in 72 hours."

Regarding the team's ability to take advantage of opportunities compared to the previous match, Inzaghi explained that a longer rest period contributed to their improved form. He said, "We played with the same squad that featured in the last match, but this time we had more days to rest, whereas previously we had played matches at a high tempo with short intervals between them."

Inzaghi also addressed the standout performance of Brazilian player Gabriel Martinelli, who scored a hat-trick, saying: "Martinelli joined us recently and took part in only one training session before the match against Neom. Today, he delivered a fantastic performance. He felt some fatigue during the game, so I chose to substitute him to rest him."
