The national team is currently preparing for the final stage of its preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2026, which will be taking place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The board commended Al-Mefarrej's dedicated efforts throughout his career with Al-Hilal. As a player, he contributed to winning 23 titles with the first team, and he continued his success as an administrator, contributing to 24 titles, to reach 47 achievements with the club, as both a player and administrator.

Al-Mefarrej progressed through several administrative roles, starting as a manager of the Olympic team in 2012, before being appointed manager of the first team in 2013. He then assumed the position of Chief Football Officer in 2019, in addition to serving on the board of directors for several terms.

Al-Mefarrej's administrative career has been marked by contributions to numerous achievements, most notably: winning the King's Cup six times, the Crown Prince Cup twice, the Saudi League six times, the AFC Champions League twice, the Saudi Super Cup five times, the Riyadh Season Cup, the Lusail Super Cup, and Al-Ain International Championship, in addition to participating in the FIFA Club World Cup four times.

For his part, Mr. Fahad Al-Mefarrej expressed his thanks and appreciation to all the boards of directors of Al-Hilal Club that he has worked with since 2012, stressing that the support and trust he received contributed to achieving many accomplishments and championships. He said: “I would like to thank the loyal fans of Al-Hilal, and all my colleagues in the technical and administrative staff and players, for all the support and cooperation I received during the stages that were full of achievements, wishing Al-Hilal Club success in the next stage.”
